Sockolet

Sockolet Definition

We are manufacturer of sockolet and supplies Class 3000, 6000 in kinds of materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel.

Sockolet is a branch connection pipe fittings that used to create integrally reinforced connection from a run pipe to a branch pipe at 90 degree. This is forged pipe fittings with high strength and clear cost advantages over conventional pipe branching techniques.

Its installation is also quite easily: one side is fixed onto the run pipe with a full penetration groove weld, the other is socket weld with the branch pipe. Socket welding means the pipe will be inserted into a recessed area of sockolet then welding them together. The branches size can be equal or smaller than the ran pipe’s.

Key advantages of Socketolet

Sealing principle: mainly through the sealing material (such as rubber sealing ring) to form a seal between the socket and the pipe.

Sealing effect: The sealing performance is good and can meet the sealing requirements of general low-pressure pipeline systems, but under high-pressure environments, the sealing material may be squeezed and deformed, affecting the sealing effect.

Applicable pipe materials: commonly used for plastic pipes (such as PVC, PPR, etc.), thin-walled metal pipes, etc.

Applicable working environment: suitable for low-pressure, normal temperature working environments, such as building water supply and drainage systems, urban water supply systems, etc.

Weldolet VS Sockolet

Sockolets is socket weld fittings, its diameter is from 1/8” to 4”, and the pressures are Class 3000, class6000 and class 9000. Whereas weldolet is buttweld fittings, the dimension range is much larger.
