Differences Between ASME B16.47 and ASME B16.5

The biggest difference between ASME B16.47 Flange and ASME B16.5 Flange is their dimensions.

ASME B16.47 flanges stands for large diameter flanges, so their diameter at least is 26”. However, the ASME B16.5 flanges are within 24”.

What’s more, their pressure ratings is different. ASME B16.5 flange is available in class 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500 and 2500, while ASME B16.47 flange is available in class 150, 300, 400, 600 and 900.
