<p>The weld neck flange has a structure with a neck and a round tube transition, which can be butt weld to the pipe to form a firm pipe connection point.</p>

<p>&nbsp;Socket Weld Flange designed in accordance with ASME B16.5 standards, is a high-integrity flange used for creating a secure pipe connection in high-pressure systems.</p>



<p><strong>Threaded flange </strong><strong></strong></p>



<p>The threaded flange uses a screw thread to connect the flange onto pipe. A male thread is cut onto a pipe end while a female thread is cut into the bore of the flange. The male threaded pipe is then screwed into the female threaded flange.</p>



<p><strong>Lap joint flange</strong><strong></strong></p>



<p>The main structural feature of the&nbsp;lap joint&nbsp;flange is the loose connection. It consists of a flange body, a flange nipple and connecting bolts. As a high-performance, highly corrosion-resistant material, it features excellent oxidation resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, high-temperature performance, and good mechanical properties. Flanges forged from Hastelloy C22 as raw material exhibit exceptional corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding various strong acids, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and other highly acidic solutions, and exhibit exceptional corrosion resistance in acidic environments. Hastelloy C22 flanges also exhibit excellent heat resistance, enabling them to operate reliably in high-temperature environments for extended periods. Additionally, they feature superior mechanical properties, including high hardness, high compressive strength, and excellent wear resistance. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">ASTM B564 UNS N06022 Hastelloy Flanges Chemical Composition</h2>



<p>Hastelloy C22 contains approximately 56% nickel, along with chromium (20-22%), molybdenum (12-14%), tungsten (2.5-3.5%), and other elements, as well as small amounts of iron, cobalt, carbon, silicon, manganese, and other trace elements. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mechanical Property of Hastelloy Alloy C22 Flange</h2>



<p>In terms of mechanical properties, Hastelloy C22 flanges offer excellent strength and toughness. At room temperature, the tensile strength can reach over 690 MPa, with a yield strength of approximately 310 MPa and an elongation rate exceeding 40%. They can withstand high operating pressures and temperatures, capable of stable operation in environments up to approximately 1093°C. Additionally, after being processed through forging, rolling, and other manufacturing processes, it achieves high dimensional accuracy and precision in seal surface machining, making it compatible with various flange connection standards (such as ANSI, DIN, JIS, etc.), ensuring the integrity and safety of pipeline systems.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Corrosion Resistance</h2>



<p>Hastelloy C22 alloy exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly in harsh acidic and chlorine-containing environments. It demonstrates extremely high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Experimental results show that the critical pitting temperature of C-22 in a 6% FeCl₃ solution with added acid exceeds 302°F (150°C), significantly outperforming common stainless steels and certain other nickel alloys. Additionally, it exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance against organic acids and strong oxidizing acids. According to available data, C22 alloy is rated as one of the top corrosion-resistant materials, capable of withstanding pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and crevice corrosion in seawater environments. These properties make it superior to many commonly used nickel alloys in various harsh corrosive media, such as FeCl₃, CuCl₂, moist chlorine atmospheres, and seawater.</p>

<p>Hastelloy C22 flanges and Hastelloy C276 flanges are both high-performance nickel-based alloys, but they differ in their chemical composition and performance in specific corrosive environments. In summary, Hastelloy C22 has a higher chromium content, making it generally more resistant to strong oxidizing media &nbsp;and localized corrosion than C276, particularly in the heat-affected zone of welds. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The ASME B16.5 weld neck flange conforming to ASME B16.5 is a typical integral-type flange. It is cast or forged integrally with the tapered neck which is butt welded to the pipe. This design provides a smooth transition with little stress concentration since the high-stress concentration at the base of the weld neck flange. There are no gaps or recesses that could lead to crevice corrosion. The tapered neck is also known as “nozzle neck”, or more commonly as “high hub”.</p>

<p>ASME B16.5 Standard covers pressure-temperature&nbsp;ratings,materials,dimensions, tolerances, marking, testing, and methods of designating openings for pipe&nbsp;flanges and flanged fittings. Included are:</p>



<p>Flange with rating class designations 150#,300#,400#,600#,900#,and 1500#in sizes NPS % through NPS 24. Flanges with rating class designation 2500 in sizes NPS % through NPS 12.</p>

<p>ASME B16.5 weld neck flange,  is a kind of flange that can relocate stress to the pipes, ensuring a decrease in high-stress concentration at the bottom of the weld neck flange. There are two welding neck flanges designs the first type is used with wipes while the second, longer type cannot be used with pipes but with a process plant. The  flange comprises of a round fitting that extends beyond the rim of the circumference.</p>

<p>Copper nickel is mainly composed of copper
and nickel, and contains small amounts of other elements. It has beautiful yellow
appearance because of the large amount of copper. The most popular copper
nickel are UNS C70600 and C71500. UNS C70600 Flanges contains 90% copper and
10% nickel, so it also called Cu-Ni 90/10 flange. C71500 flange is 70/30 copper
nickel flange.</p>

<p>ASTM B466 UNS C70600 Flange is stable and reliable at any temperature. It has good strength at moderate and elevate temperatures. At low temperatures, it maintains good mechanical properties, weld ability and high resistance to hydrogen.
