Chrome Molly Alloy Steel A182 F11 Forged Fittings

Zizi Engineering is the manufacturer and exporter of Alloy F11 Forged Fittings. They are extensively used as they are hard to be corroded by nature. So, why do they stand out in corrosion resistance?

We should know that Alloy Steel F11 refers to ASTM A182 at first, it is a low alloy steel for forgings. It contains 1.25 % chromium and 0.5 % molybdenum, which give it high resistance to corrode.

A182 F11 Class Type

A182 F11 has three class: F11 Class 1, F11 Class 2, and F11 Class 3. The UNS designation of class 1 is K11597, class 2 and class 3 have the same designation which is K11572, because they have the same chemical requirements. While Class 1 is a little different in the content of carbon, manganese, phosphorus and sulfur. And the more interesting thing is the tensile and hardness requirements of the three class are all different.

We usually adopt class 1 as the row material for Alloy F11 Forged Fittings if you didn’t mention the class.

Alloy Steel F11 Forged Fittings

Alloy Steel F11 Forged Fittings

Because A182 F11 is a high performance alloy, so it can be formed in various shapes. Such as 90 degree elbow, 45 degree elbow, reducing tee, equal tee, half and full coupling, threaded and socket weld cap, threaded nipple, swage nipple, hex head plug, and hex head bushing.

The wide range of Alloy Steel A182 F11 Forged Fittings which we are providing to our clients is highly appreciated by them for its smooth finish, dimensional accuracy, high tensile strength and long life.

ASTM A182 F11 Threaded Coupling is popular because it has excellent resistance to many corrosive media and high temperature atmospheres, as well as its installation is very easy.

F11 Socket Weld Tee have best properties such as great quality, high toughness and strength, and good creep and oxidation resistance. The automatic alignment and high leakage proof also attract customers very much. However, it is not fully stain proof, you should avoid to used it in low-oxygen, high – salinity, and poor air – circulation environments.

Alloy F11 Forged Fittings Dimensions

This two types has the same diameter range NPS 1/8-4. Their pressure rating mainly are

Class 3000 Socket Weld Fittings, Class 6000 Socket Weld Fittings, and Class 9000 Socket Weld Fittings.

Class 2000 Threaded Fittings, Class 3000 Screwed Fittings and Class 6000 Threaded Fittings.

Those information come form ASME B16.11, the specification standard for both screwed fittings and socket weld fittings.

And another standard BS 3799 also specified the dimension of Alloy F11 Forged Fittings.

BS 3799 is the specification for Steel Pipe Fittings, Screwed and Socket-welding for the Petroleum Industry. The nominal size it defined are same as ASME B16.11, but its pressure rating mainly are Class 3000 and Class 6000 for both screwed and socket-welding fittings.
