<p>Whatever shipping by air or containers, it is necessary and important to do <a href="https://www.zzsteels.com/2018/06/01/pipe-reducer-swage-nipple-mss-sp-95/">pipe reducer</a> weight calculation for checking the freight. There are two types of butt weld reducer: <a href="https://www.zzsteels.com/2018/03/06/concentric-eccentric-reducer/">Concentric and Eccentric Reducer</a>. But they don&#8217;t influence the weight calculating . So how can we get their weight? Let’s find the ways.</p>



<p>There are two methods to get the weights:</p>

<p>It this way, We should know some dimensions in mm and then <a href="https://www.zzsteels.com/2018/10/29/calculate-butt-weld-elbow-weight/">calculate </a>their weight by formula <strong>0.02466&nbsp;× S&nbsp;×[&nbsp;(D+d)/2-S]&nbsp;× H /&nbsp;1000</strong></p>

<p>Here is an example: A 1”×3/4” Sch40 eccentric butt weld reducer, we can know D=33.4, d=26.7, S=3.4. H=51 from specification, so the weight is 0.02466×3.4×[(33.4+26.7)/2-3.4]×51/1000=0.11kg</p>



<p>Comparing with weight chart, this method can calculate precise weight of each size, even though some special dimensions. But this way would cost more time and may make a mistake since it is complex.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Butt Weld Pipe Reducer Weight Chart </h3>



<p>It is easier to get the weight by diameter and thickness in the chart.</p>
