Steel Pipe Bend and Pipe Elbow

Function

Steel pipe elbow and bend has the same function that change the direction of pipeline. But pipe bend has more flexible form, the degree and radius can be custom-made on site and suited for a specific need.

Radius

Minimum bending radius of pipe bend is 1.5 times of diameter, which is the maximum of pipe elbow. It is the basic difference between pipe elbow and pipe bend.

Length

The most intuitive difference is the length. Elbow relatively shorter than bend.

Price

Pipe bend can use bending machine to bend by straight pipes. It is one-time completed and don’t need second corrosion. However, pipe elbow has longer order cycle so that it is expensive than pipe bend. But elbows have higher cost performance.
