What is NPT Threadolet

Threadolet is one kind of reinforced branch fittings. It has a basic design as weldolet with female threaded connections. The branch is at 90 degree cross the main pipe, and threadolets could be full size or reducing size.

Full size NPT threadolets connect pipes with same diameter, and reducing threadolets connect pipes with different sizes. 3/8” branch sized threadolet can used with main pipes from 1/2” to 36”.

NPT is National Pipe Tapered thread with 60 degree thread angles.

• Put 3/8” x 4” threadolet into carton boxes.
• Pack the boxes into wooden cases and label it for easy identification.

Inspection of NPT Threadolet

1. Check the surface and marking, make sure they are clean and in good condition. Marking is “3/8”X4” Threadolet 3000# A182 F22 MSS SP 97”.
2. Measure the size of nominal size, length, OD of fitting, length and thread and so on. Compared to the tolerance and ensure they are qualified.
3. Use go/no go gauge to test the NPT Thread.
