Threaded Outlets

We are manufacturer of threaded outlet and supplies Class 3000, 6000 in kinds of materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel.

Threadolet is a kind of self reinforced branch connection pipe fitting that used for small size piping with low pressure applications. It is provided with full size type and reducing size type. Full size threadolet offers a same diameter branch with the run pipe. For example, a the diameter of full size threadolet is 2”x2”. While reducing threadolet is when branch size is less than run pipe size. For example, 3”x2” threadolet. Its end is suited for the threaded connection.

Thread Types of Threaded Forged Fittings

NPT Threadolet

NPT stands for National Pipe Tapered threads (also for ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 Pipe Threads). It is a U.S. standard for measuring tapered threads on threaded pipes and fittings. It has 60 degree thread angle.

NPT pipe fittings require some kind of sealant placed on the threads before assembly.

BSP Threadolet

BSP refers to British Standard Pipe, it is screw threads for interconnection and sealing pipes and fittings. BSPP and BSPT is two common type of BSP threads.

BSPP and BSPT both have 55 degree thread angle. BSPT is also tapered threads but can be connected with NPT threads. While BSPP is parallel thread type.

Sockolet VS Threadolet

Sockolet is also a popular branch connection pipe fittings, it connects pipes by socket welding. The dimension ranges and manufacture technique is the same as threadolet.

A sockolet is a branch fitting used to connect a smaller-diameter branch pipe to a larger-diameter main pipe. The branch pipe end is connected by inserting a socket (socket) and then socket welding. Sockolet fittings are typically used in medium- and high-pressure piping systems. They offer excellent sealing and strength after welding and are commonly found in industries such as the chemical, petroleum, and marine industries.

A threadolet is also a branch fitting, but its branch end features internal threads, eliminating the need for welding. It offers easy installation and high removability, making it suitable for low-pressure, non-critical, or maintenance-intensive piping systems, such as instrument lines and low-pressure water and gas systems. While a sockolet is more suitable for high-strength, long-term connections, a threadolet is more suitable for applications requiring convenient installation and maintenance.

Weldolet VS Threadolet

Weldolet is more different with threadolet. It has larger dimension range and connects pipes by butt welding, but it is also a forged branch connection pipe fittings.

Weldolet (weld-type pipe socket) is designed for butt-weld connections. Its branch end features a beveled groove that can be directly butt-welded to the branch pipe, creating a permanent, strong, and highly leak-tight connection. Weldolet is commonly used in piping systems subject to high pressure, high temperature, or high stress. Its strength and reliability make it popular in critical industries such as the oil, gas, and chemical industries. Furthermore, its compatibility with a wide range of pipe sizes and wall thicknesses makes it suitable for a wider range of applications.

Threadolet (thread-type pipe socket) is designed for threaded connections. Its branch end features internal threads that connect to the branch pipe. This connection eliminates the need for welding and is easier to install and remove, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring regular maintenance or instrument or valve replacement. However, due to the characteristics of threaded connections, threadolet is typically used in lower-pressure and smaller piping systems. Its sealing performance is inferior to that of welded connections, making it unsuitable for high-pressure or flammable/explosive environments, where leaks are critical.
