Raw material

In order to produce good pipe fittings, we must choose qualified raw materials.Like the steel pipe, steel plate and billet which are used to manufacture Pipe Elbow, Pipe Reducer, Pipe Tee, Nipple, Coupling, Cap, Outlet, Union and other pipe fittings must be tested to meet the requirements of the national standards. In fact, poor manufacturers is to reduce costs, they use unknown pipe or other raw materials, some procurement of engineering surplus material, some procurement of steel processing defective pipe and test machine products, some procurement has reached the use of End-of-life scrap gas transmission pipe, some use low-grade steel to replace the high grade.For example, using GB/T 8162 seamless steel tubes instead of GB/T 8163 seamless steel tubes, and even use welded steel pipe to replace seamless steel pipe.  Mold

While producing the pipe fittings, like Pipe Elbow, Tee, Reducer, Cap, Cross, Union, Outlet and Coupling. We need to use the mold to press,squeeze and forge. So the manufacturers have requirements of inspecting the mold regularly. To reducer pull, scratches and other defects in molding process.

Heat Treatment

The main function of heat treatment is to eliminate the stress, reduce the hardness, refine the grains and improve the microstructure and properties. For stainless steel refers to the austenite. But now there are some small factories still use small coal stove to do heat treatment, it all depends on the worker experience, the furnace temperature unsteady unevenness, cannot guarantee the heat treatment effect.

 Nondestructive testing is NDT

National and international standards both have corresponding provisions of NDT on Stainless Steel Elbow, Reducer, Tee, Cap, Cross and other Pipe Fittings.For example: cold extrusion tee must be 100% magnetic particle inspection, the weld fittings must be 100% radiographic inspection. However, some factories do not have the ability of inspection or too self-confident, omitted the essential nondestructive testing,and not discover the product which existed the surface or the internal significant flaw.

End Preparation

Most pipe fittings will be weld with piping or pairs fittings  in the engineering site. This requires roundness, thickness and groove of Elbow End, Tee End, Reducer End and Cap End must be excellent, otherwise it will bring difficulty to weld in the engineering site, and then affect the engineering welding quality.
