Threaded Coupling Package
Compare with butt weld fittings, forged fittings have smooth surface and small sizes. Depends on that, they deserve a better package and good treatment.
We will do normalized or solution heat treatment and pickling for each fittings. Then surfaced with anti-rust oil.
Lining up same size stainless steel coupling fittings in carton firstly and make a list in waterproof paper which stick to carton. And then put all cartons into wooden case.
Threaded Fittings Inspection
We always put Quality on top and inspect forged threaded fittings according to ASME B16.11 or BS3799.
- Checking the outside diameter and wall thickness.
- Measuring the length of thread.
- Test the thread by Go/no go gauge.
- Visualizing the marking and surface.
What is BSP Threaded Fittings?
BSP Pipe Fittings are a family of fittings used to connect up threaded pipe and equipment in non-critical low pressure situations maximum pressure of 150 PSI. Types of fittings include; Elbows, Tees, Nipples, Bushing, Sockets, Pipe Caps, Coupling, Plug and Union.
BSP thread form stands for British Standard Pipe and the commonwealth countries. It is based on trade size rather than actual diameter which can lead to some confusion when measuring ports.
There are two types
of BSP threads;
– Parrallel (BSPP) – also known as G or Rp
– Tapered (BSPT) – also know as R or Rc
Both threads have the same pitch, angle (55 degrees) and shape (rounded peaks and valleys).
